2017 19,20 21,22. Updates

Wednesday 7/19 Breakfast at M. B. Hasketts. The mug seems to be missing the B., strange.
I had their special that morning. Eggs Benedict.  The meat is Pork Belly. A bit too much fat for my taste.

I toured 3 apartments. I went to the RV dealer to see the Keystone Montana 3720RL they had.  RL is rear living area  and the 20 means it has an 18 cu ft. RV refrigerator.  We want an 3721RL 21 means a bit larger residential refrigerator. No pics as we did not want this one. Also it had the "Cafe", dark furniture and trim we want the 'Gatehouse' a lighter colored furniture and trim.
I also stopped by the truck dealer and narrowed down the truck we wanted, Pictures later.

Thursday 7/20 a 5 hour drive to Rapid City. Go west old man.  To see a 3721 RV.  but alas it did not have the legacy package, so a bit of a wasted trip except for the pictures below.

Dignity is a sculpture on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River near Chamberlain, South Dakota. The statue depicts an Indigenous woman in Plains-style dress receiving a star quilt and is by South Dakota artist laureate Dale Lamphere.

Also at a rest stop I spotted this for all the motor cycle enthusiasts past, present and wannabees.
Just ask them about Sturgis, SD.

Friday 7/21 - A bit of rain and cloudy skies and some local downtown Sioux Falls wildlife.

Later that day I made a deposit on the apartment we decided on. It is near a bike path and the Big Sioux River. Good access for riding bikes and walking dogs.  Here is a panoramic picture of the back of our apartment complex. Just a 10 minute walk down the path takes you to a the South Falls Dakota Department of Game Fish and parks, plus butterfly exhibits and more.

We did decided on the truck we wanted and put a deposit on it. See pictures below.

I went to the RV dealer and with Carol on the phone we put in a order for the RV we want.

Then I went back to the Sioux Falls and to dinner at a place called Breadico.  No pics.  Great place a bit off the beaten path.  Homemade Pasta and Pizza.  An old smallish Factory building. about 3 stories tall.  The Bee hive oven for pizza's was on the first floor with a stainless steel chimney that went straight up 3 stories through the roof. Very impressive. Tables where on the upper floor and the waitresses had to go up an down many stairs all night long.  Better them than me. LOL.

Saturday 7/22 Heading home.  Stopped again in Le Claire Iowa and this time was able to stop by "Antique Archaeology"  Where Mike, Frank and Danielle from the "American Pickers" TV show have one of their stores.

There was a couple their that wanted me to take their picture in front of the car below. Of course I said yes. They had a distinctive accent, so I asked where they where from and they told me Northern Ireland.   Wow.  The Pickers are world celebs.

I picked up a small souvenir for our RV. I'm not allowed to buy anything big, right Carol?

And That's a wrap... Good night.
