Early mornings, Bob walking the dogs and taking in the views of the lake. While setting up, Carol spies wildlife from inside the front door. The rodents were very friendly. We had a mouse take up residence for a few days.

Hiking trails near our campground were rather wooded. There used to be beavers here as evidenced by the gnawed tree stumps and the abandoned lodges. Alas, we saw none. But we will keep looking.

After another struggle trying to back into our site we did a bit of shopping in downtown Perry, MO while still masking up to be safe.

A combined total of over 45 years living in Missouri and neither of us had ever heard of this town, Peculiar, MO. But found a spot where we could take a short hike in a City Park. Even after checking the map we were confused. The chiggers were not a bonus.
